Mounting Powder Colour Application
PJM-B (Ordinary) Black For common sample preparation with high grinding speed.
BJM-B (Edge Preserving) Black Edge-protection type with low shrinkage, close combination with the mounted sample, high hardness and good wear resistance. Designed for slower grinding speed.
DJM-B (Electric Conduction) Black Carbon phenolic polymer for highly conductive applications such as electron microscopy and electropolishing. Medium grinding speed.
TJB-T (Transparent) Transparent Transparent and soluble material allowing the sample to be removed without damage. Suitable when sample size, position or depth must be observed or controlled. Medium grinding speed.

Single Head & Double Head Configurations

MountexLarge is available in Single Head and Double Head configurations to suit different sample preparation workloads. Both configurations combine automatic hydraulic pressure, adjustable mounting parameters and fast heating and cooling for consistent metallographic sample preparation.
